How Our Clothing Trade-In Works:
The Hunt + Gather community is built on a model of giving and receiving. In order to receive a new set of kid’s clothes, you must trade in your kid’s clothing as well. Minimum trade-in amount is 10 items per Kids or Baby Box purchase.
When you reserve a Kids Box or Baby Box, you’ll receive an email that contains a printable shipping label. Fill a shipping box with 10-20 trade-in items and attach the label and ship.
Shipping Requirements: A trade-in shipping box cannot exceed 10-lbs or a box size of 11x11x11. If you need more room, contact us and we’ll send you a separate shipping label for a second box.
We operate on a 1-to-1 trade system. You will receive one item of clothing from the Hunt + Gather collection for every item you traded in that meets our Clothing Quality Criteria as outlined below.
Trade-In Clothing Quality Criteria:
We want the parents and kids in the Hunt + Gather community to love the styles they receive. Therefore, we only accept trade-in clothing that meets our high-quality standards. Only trade-in clothing that meets each of the Clothing Quality Criteria below will be eligible for trade-in.
Any items that do not meet the quality standards below, but that we consider reasonably wearable and usable, will be donated to nonprofit donation centers and shelters that care for children and families.
- No tears, rips, holes, or other visible damage
- No stains or other discolorations
- Zippers must be in-tact and operable
- Buttons must be in-tact, operable, and accounted for
- Metal clasps must be in-tact and operable
- Clothing must include an original notation of size, i.e.: original manufacturer’s tags
- Clothing must appear as new or gently worn. Items that appear worn, faded, or heavily used will not be accepted.
- Clothing cannot include any inappropriate or potentially offensive words, phrases, or images. Judgment is at the sole discretion of Hunt + Gather
- No clothing created for events or intended as a promotional item to promote a business or event; i.e: annual 5k race t-shirts or clothes with specific dates promoting events
- No clothing displaying logos of non-apparel manufacturers, i.e.: company-branded t-shirts or sweatshirts
- Any other items deemed inappropriate or potentially offensive to our customer

- Shorts
- Dresses
- Skirts
- Overalls
- Sweaters
- Sweatshirts
Sizes We Accept:
We accept clothing sizes 3-months through size 14 boys and 14 girls.
Items We Do Not Accept:
We do not accept any personal items, including socks, shoes, underwear and other undergarments, or other similar items. At this time, we are not accepting bathing suits, pajama sets, hats, costumes, or formal wear.
Clothing Ownership Disclaimer:
Once you ship your trade-in clothing items to our Hunt + Gather facility, you agree to forfeit ownership of those items. Every trade-in item we receive becomes the sole property of Hunt + Gather LLC. Any trade-in items that do not satisfy the clothing quality criteria above will not be returned to you and will remain the property of Hunt + Gather. We, and only we, reserve the right to determine if an item of clothing meets the clothing quality criteria or is donated.
Items that do not meet this criteria but are in a reasonably wearable and usable condition will be donated to nonprofit donation centers and shelters that care for children and families.
